Dr. Fabrianne Figueroa Cohen
Dr. Fabrianne Figueroa Cohen is a highly trained Periodontist with a vast amount of experience in implant dentistry. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in Caracas, Venezuela where she achieved her Dental Degree at the Central University of Venezuela in 2000. Dr. Cohen then completed a four-year internship at the Santa Rosa Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Center in Caracas. She later completed her postdoctoral program in Oral Surgery with honors at the Central University of Venezuela.
Dr. Cohen worked in a private practice at the Santa Rosa Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Center in Caracas before moving to South Florida, where she completed 3 years of advanced training in periodontics and implant dentistry. She received her Certificate in Periodontics from Nova Southeastern University School of Dental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Dr. Cohen has authored and co-authored numerous articles and book chapters on topics including Alveolar Reconstruction and Distraction Osteogenesis. Dr. Cohen is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a member of the Academy of Osseointegration (AO), and a member of the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP). Dr. Cohen is also an Adjunct Clinical Professor in the Periodontology Department at Nova Southeastern University.
Her areas of interest in treatment include minimally invasive soft-tissue grafting techniques for teeth and implants, immediate implant placement, bone tissue regeneration, periodontal-orthodontic accelerating procedures and periodontal plastic surgery.
